Clinical Trials

At DermSurgery Associates, our board-certified dermatologists use their extensive training in cosmetic and medical dermatology at our 14 Greater Houston, TX locations. Our doctors occasionally participate in clinical trials to help further research into treatments and procedures for medical and cosmetic dermatology concerns. The FDA requires clinical research trials to be completed before approving new medical treatments, procedures and devices.

Patients interested in participating in a clinical trial can do so by contacting DermSurgery Associates at (713) 791-9966. If you are approved to participate, you have the freedom to withdraw at any time.

Other important information:

  • Your participation is voluntary. You may withdraw from the trial at any time.
  • Your personal information will remain confidential.
  • Before participating in a study, your doctor or a member of his/her staff will explain the details of the study, including the potential risks or benefits, and answer your questions to the best of their ability.
  • If you decide to participate, you will be required to sign a consent form before beginning the trial. Your doctor will provide you with a copy of this consent form for your records, which contains additional information about the clinical research trial.

Each clinical trial must be submitted to an institutional review board for approval before the study can be performed.
