Dr. Balaraman of DermSurgery Bellaire is excited to share with you the SkinTRUST Society, a new initiative that she founded to empower all consumers. The SkinTRUST Society is the first global standard for non-prescription skin care products. Currently, consumer skin care products are not approved by regulatory authorities, making it impossible to know what’s TRUE, what’s RELEVANT, what’s SAFE, and what WORKS. Does that anti-wrinkle cream really work? Is organic effective? Is natural safer? These are some of the questions you may have had as a consumer.
The SkinTRUST Society evaluates consumer skin care products for safety and effectiveness based on rigorous scientific and medical criteria. The SkinTRUST Society site will be launched later this month and she encourages all of you to get involved.
