It is with great sadness and deep affection that all of us at DermSurgery remember our colleague, friend, and mentor, Dr. Steven Smith, who passed away in Houston, Texas, on September 22, 2026. For the final 10 years of his remarkable career, we had the privilege of having Dr. Smith as part of the DermSurgery family. While he joined our practice, he continued to serve the patients and community he had cared for throughout his 46 years as a dermatologist in Kingwood. We were honored to share those years with him and to witness the dedication, warmth, and professionalism he brought to his work every day.
Steven was a lifelong learner and a deeply committed physician. At DermSurgery Associates, we feel incredibly fortunate that Dr. Smith chose to spend the last 10 years of his professional life with us. He was not simply a colleague. He became part of our family, and his absence will be felt deeply.
We will miss his wisdom, his stories, his humor, his kindness, and the quiet presence he brought to our practice. We will remember the physician he was, the colleague he became, and the friend so many of us were lucky enough to know.
