Ming H. Jih, MD PhD

Ming H. Jih, MD PhDMing H. Jih, MD, PhD is a board-certified Dermatologist specializing in cosmetic and laser surgery of the skin and the treatment of skin cancer. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Philosophy in Cell Biology from the University of California at Los Angeles. She graduated as valedictorian of her medical school class at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. She then completed her dermatology residency training at the prestigious New York University Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, where she served as a resident and chief resident. Subsequently she completed a fellowship in Laser and Dermatologic Surgery at DermSurgery Associates. Dr. Jih is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is on staff at the Methodist Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Jih also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology, Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Jih has presented her research at numerous dermatologic professional meetings and has published extensively in both basic science and clinical medical journals, authoring over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. For her research, she was awarded the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Young Investigator Award in 2004. Her current clinical interests include dermatologic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
